PC2 points were first awarded in 1998; PC3 points starting in 1999; the PCS and PCzero categories were both introduced in 2000. Also from 1999, the top 4 PC1, 3 PC2 and 2 PC3 teams were awarded fixed numbers (1-4, 5-7, 8-9) for the following season based on their final championship positions. If a team from a younger class finishes in the top bracket of an older class (e.g. as Swansea 3 did in 2000), they are given the number relevant to their position in the oldest applicable class; the vacancy this causes in the lower age class is resolved by awarding the remaining numbers to lower finishers within that class. These numbers are shown in the final column of the tables. From 2002, most teams are awarded fixed numbers for the season. Numbers 1-9 remain an indication of previous success; other numbers are assigned the first time a team races in the season.
