Race information:

2003 saw the first ever European Pedal Car Championship race, held in France at Saint Etienne de Chigny, which is about 1 hour south of Le Mans. The race weekend itself is a long standing fixture, and BPCC teams have an open invitation to return at any time, regardless of whether the weekend is host to the European Championships or not.

The weekend features two 6-hour races (one on each day, obviously!), the combined results of which (in 2003) decided the European Championships.

The Saturday race is run from 3pm to 9pm; while this gives French teams time to travel in the morning, it also means the race starts in the hottest part of the afternoon, which may come as something of a shock to the system of any British visitors! However, it also means the final hour or so is run in the falling dusk, and the atmosphere is fantastic.

The Sunday race starts in the morning (shortly after 11am in 2003), meaning a more ''normal'' experience as far as UK visitors are concerned.
