Yes indeed, the French race pedal cars too! Karbyk travelled to France to race at Saint Etienne de Chigny on 24 and 25 August 2002; Subsequently, the first ever European Pedal Car Championship race will be held in the same location on 23 and 24 August 2003 (see the European Championship event information pages for more details).
Anyone interested in the FEVP can reach Angélique Beury on angelique.beury@caramail.com.
So far, I am unaware of any website, so you'll have to make do with their rules. Currently all that's here is French-language PDF versions of their vehicle, race and track rules; hopefully soon I can put up some English translations for any British team wishing to travel to France to race. Please note, if this happens the translations will be done via an automatic on-line translator and therefore will not be guaranteed 100% accurate. In the case of any dispute, the original (French) versions will naturally be regarded as definitive.
You will see from the pictures that costume dress is as much a feature of French pedal car racing as speed.
