Notice Of 2008 Annual General Meeting

Your main opportunity to get involved with helping to run the sport
24 September 2008

BRITISH FEDERATION OF PEDAL CAR RACING

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the British Federation of Pedal Car Racing will take place at 11am on Sunday, 2ND November 2008 at 22nd Rugby Scout HQ, The Kent, Rugby.
(Nice cups of tea and cake supplied.)

The 2008 BFPCR AGM will be held on Sunday, 2nd November in Rugby starting 11am (AGM to start at 11:00am, with nice cups of tea and party rings available from around 10:30).
This is the main chance in the year for EVERY team to influence how our sport is run.

EVERY TEAM registered to race in 2008 can have ONE representative voting at the AGM irrespective of the number of people from that team who may already sit on the committee. Of course more than one person from any given team, and any other interested parties, may attend, but there is only one vote per membership (i.e. one vote per registered team or other membership).

The AGM, amongst other things, will elect a committee to serve the sport for the next year.

Immediately after the AGM, there will be hot dogs and more nice cups of tea.
After that, the newly elected committee will meet to elect the executive officers for 2009.

The committee meeting will then also confirm the 2009 calendar, finalise details and discuss any rule changes for the 2009 season that may be proposed in the committee meeting agenda (to be published shortly).

For the good of the sport, we would like as many teams as possible represented at the AGM to ensure the best possible cross-section of teams in terms of sizes and ages.

Venue is the 22nd Rugby Scout hut, The Kent, Rugby (Google maps link).
For further details, or if your team cannot get a representative to the meeting, please contact the BFPCR secretary, Jes Featherstone, via our contacts form (select 'secretary', obviously) or 01788 572970 (answer phone).
