Academic / other multiple accounts:

In order to activate your subscription or confirm your removal from the PCN distribution service, you will need to be able to send email from the address you have specified.

While this may sound obvious, if you have an academic or corporate email address you may find that you can receive email addressed in more than one way, but you can only send from one address.

For example, many academic institutions have more than one academic domain registered - for example, Sheffield University has www.shef.ac.uk and www.sheffield.ac.uk. Email can be delivered to an address at either domain, but only one is used for sending email out. Some coporations are the same, and may accept email for example at a.person-name@bigcorp.com as well as a.person-name@TheBigCorporation.com. If this may apply in your case, please CHECK FIRST to see what address your outgoing messages are from. The easy way to do this is to send yourself an email and check its headers to find the "From" address.

If you cannot send email from the exact address submitted through the web form, you CANNOT complete the sign-up or removal processes.
