Great Central's start driver Bill Austen powers through the second chicane, fast enough to lift the front left well clear of the circuit through the quick right-left-right flick as Killay 1 attempt to stay with the early leader.

This second chicane was particularly vicious, being immediately after the exit of the tight double-apex right hander at the east end of the circuit.
