Killay shed their shiny red nose for the day, deciding (probably quite rightly) that minimal weight, rather than good aerodynamics, was the way to go on such a short track. Their decision and preparation repaid them with a performance that, on pretty much any other day of the year, would have given them their long-awaited maiden victory.
